Industry News, Sealants,

Stabond Corporation has released a new 2K silicone sealant, Stabond Firewall 2K, developed specifically for aerospace and defense contractors looking for reliable protection against extreme temperatures and hazardous conditions.

Firewalls serve multiple functions including fire containment, thermal protection, smoke barrier and structural integrity and are common in aircraft, armored vehicles and naval vessels.  Stabond’s Firewall 2K sealant enhances the ability of the firewall to prevent the passage of fire, smoke and hazardous gases around gaps, holes and through components, and provides dependable thermal insulation.  The 2K sealant is proven effective at temperatures from -65 to +400°F (-54 to +204°C) and can withstand flash temperatures of up to 2000°F (1093°C).

Manufactured in a AS9100/NADCAP accredited facility, the Firewall 2K sealant qualifies to AMS3374 and is compliant with BMS 5-63. These standards ensure that the sealant meets critical quality and performance criteria, providing users with confidence in reliability and effectiveness.

“The Stabond Firewall 2K sealant marks the latest advancement in the company’s long-standing tradition of providing the highest performing products to A&D manufacturers,” says John Vancura, president of Stabond Corporation. “The product has passed rigorous testing and features advanced formulations that set a new standard for firewall sealant silicones.”
