Jowat Offers Bio-based "Green Bonding" Adhesives for Packaging and Textile Lamination
Jowat reports that it is laying the foundations for “green bonding” with their GROW product range. According to the company, the adhesives contain a high proportion of biobased raw materials that achieve the usual performance of conventional adhesives.
The avoidance of fossil raw materials and the increased use of renewable resources are only part of the whole of 'Green Adhesives'. Jowat reports that it offers a diverse adhesive portfolio so that you can make your adhesive processes more sustainable and responsible in every respect.
Many adhesives are also based on crude oil or natural gas. To be able to take a further step towards independence from petro-origin raw materials and to make a resource-saving contribution to environmental protection, the company has developed their GROW series.
Jowat reports that in the production of bio-based adhesives, they rely on raw materials from renewable resources. When making their selection, Jowat takes care not to compete with food production. The production of hot melt adhesives takes place in their own plants, which are certified in accordance with different ISO certificates.
According to the company, selected adhesives of the GROW series meet the requirements of FDA 175.105 and EU 10/2011 for food packaging. In addition, Jowatherm® GROW 853.20 is DIN-tested and certified with a bio-based content of 20 – 50 % (8C183). This proportion is regularly reviewed and verified by independent institutions.
