Event Details
This is a Free to Attend webinar for everyone.
This webinar is brought to you by ASC in association with the Thermoset Resin Formulators Association (TRFA). This webinar will cover more advanced and emerging topics of epoxy resins used in adhesives and sealants. Fundamnetals of epoxy crosslinking will be discussed, with an in depth analysis of how to alter crosslink density to achieve optimum properties. With sustainability becoming an ever important property of adhesives and sealants, a novel method of crosslinking for recyclability will be covered along with new biobased epoxy resins and their properties. Applications for epoxy adhesives sealants are also becoming more challenging, and are now being used in cryogenic environments. New methods of achieving fracture toughness at cryogenic temperatures will be reviewed to formulate adhesives used in these challenging applications.
Learning Objective:
- Fundamentals of epoxy crosslinking
- Tuning epoxy crosslinking to achieve optimum properties
- Crosslinking for recyclability
- Biobased epoxies
- Epoxy toughening at cryogenic temperatures
