About Growing the Industry

In 2002, ASC launched the innovative Building the Industry (BTI) Program to increase the market size for structural adhesives and sealants. BTI spawned several new enterprises, most notably the Grow the Industry Initiative, which was so significant it was added to ASC's strategic plan.

It became clear that to Grow the Industry, ASC needed to look beyond our internal audience (our members) and reach out to "external stakeholders" - the designers, engineers, and architects who influence the selection of adhesives and sealants. Through various Grow the Industry projects, ASC is working to establish relationships with and educate the individuals who make decisions regarding adhesive and sealant usage.
